Blosxom Add-ons

I made my own Blosxom 'theme' that would work hand-in-hand with some macros that one could insert in their blog entires.  The idea was that this "KML" theme would generate this cool KML file that could be viewable in Google Earth.  It would stick you blog entires into the Google Earth and you'd have this awesome 3-dimensional view of some trip you took, with embedded pictures and everything.

Here's how I made it work.
  1. I put the page file in a new kml folder inside my blosxom/themes folder.
  2. Put the post_kml file and the post_location file in your blosxom/plugins folder.
That's it!

I used this to generate some cool KML files with data about trips I have taken.  Note: the file gets big sometimes, so I found it valuable to zip up that .kml file and rename the .zip file .kmz before posting online.  This made it much quicker to load in Google Earth.
