Finally the folks at Garmin will appease the Mac community. I was really frustrated to find out that my Mac couldn't run the software that installs the GPS maps down to my new Christmas present (my new eTrex Vista GPS). I went thru a ton of hoops trying to install Virtual PC on my mac in order to run the MapSource software that would install my maps -- but the installer would never run on the Virtual PC. What a pain. Anyway, looks like the end is in sight; too bad I have to wait until the end of 2006 (they have other procucts that will be mac-ready in spring 2006) but at least the mac versions might be ready by the time i take my <a href="http://jumphook.com/wiki/Main/TheAroundTheWorldTrip">Around The World Trip</a>. </p><p> <a href="http://www.garmin.com/pressroom/corporate/011006.html">Read the press release here.</a> </p>
