There and Back Again; A Gillis Tale

I blew back to Colorado this past weekend for a quick saturday/sunday visit with the folks. I just wanted to let my parents know how much I appreciated the relaxing weekend w/ a little home cooking. And I want to say that I was really impressed with mom. I was inspired by her new 'carpe diem' attitude - in the face of present and future discomfort - though I know it is very difficult and exhausting for her to be that active. In the same day, she rode down to denver with dad; went out to eat twice, and we went geocaching with me up in Estes. For those that don't know, that is a pretty tall order for someone who has difficulty getting out of bed! I really appreciated the experience of sharing some of the things I do for fun. This is something most people take for granted -- the ability to share one's activites with family. But it is one of the things I have missed over the past few years, because travel has become my hobby and that is difficult to share. Anyway, I just want to thank you mom for hanging in there; I'm very proud of you!
